BB Cream's Golden Moment

With daily sun exposure (even in Winter) comes the need to cover your face with BB cream each morning. Short for Beauty Balm, it’s a skincare/makeup hybrid that provides the hydration of a moisturiser, coverage of a light foundation and, in most cases, the sun protection of a sunscreen. How is it different from a tinted moisturiser? The texture is creamier than most and contains additional ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and antioxidants to regenerate skin, so over these cooler months it will replenish dryness whilst also protecting complexions from rays.

REMEMBER: Skipping out on a broad-spectrum SPF can lead to the development of sun spots later down the line which darken in color with continued exposure to UV rays. The American Academy of Dermatology recommends using a broad-spectrum of at least SPF 30 daily. Regardless of the type of SPF, sunscreen and creams containing SPF should be reapplied every two hours in order to for it to work effectively.
